You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town..Come December, and these words resonate in the hearts of every believer, who believes in magic, in goodness, in Santa Claus, and in the joy of giving and receiving happiness. And who is a better embodiment of all these wonderful feelings than the tiny tots who love Christmas with a pure heart and the innocence of childhood!
In these pandemic times, when stepping out is a risk, Books en Beyond brought Christmas into the homes of the tiny tots. Ms Shweta Aggarwal, the founder of this book club with a unique flavour of its own, hosted the Santa Bookish Party where she brought in writers, storytellers, arts & crafts experts and a mellifluous singer who took the young audience into the most magical journey of their life!
In a two-hour-long fun fiesta, the guest speakers included Vidhi Bhargava, Publisher of Red Panda Publications, a venture of Westland Publishers, Aparna Karthikeyan, celebrated author and storyteller, Khyrunnisa, the writer of the Butterfinger Series, who told the story of a crocodile who loved butter chicken, Lakshmi Iyer, writer of a popular book Why Is My Hair Curly? and Lavanya, who sang Christmas carols like an angel. The children learned about Yuletide celebrations and traditions from all corners of the world and even participated in a craft session where they handcrafted Christmas ornaments. When the program was winding up, everyone seemed surprised that two hours had just flown by. Truly, the Santa Bookish Party will hold a special place in the hearts of the children who celebrated Christmas with children from all over the place but sitting in their own homes
