Books en Beyond, in association with Delhi Public School Greater Faridabad, hosted a webinar via Zoom platform on November 2020 wherein the senior students of classes IX to XI interacted with Swapnil Pandey, author of bestselling novel ‘Love Story of a Commando’. The evening was amazing, with the author rolling out exciting stories of martyrs and their families, life in the army and the trials and tribulations faced by every individual, be it the soldier, his or her parents, siblings, spouses and children. Ms Pandey was a treasure trove of nuggets of information as brought to the audience those living and breathing sentinels who stay awake and alert in scorching heat and numbing cold just so that we can sleep in our beds, safe and secure.
Ms. Shweta Aggarwal, founder, Books en Beyond engaged the students and faculty alike in a highly interactive QnA session, where the insatiable dipsites put across interesting queries and took home a glimpse of the life of an army man as also their families who serve the nation in their own way. Truly, the webinar was a resounding success, leaving the audience hungry for more of such engagements.
