In the author talk session at Books en Beyond, Manjul Bajaj shared her views and feelings on her latest book In search of Heer. A tribute to her bibliophile parents who had grown up in Pakistan, this book set against a historical backdrop with a contemporary narration keeping in mind the modern reader. Bajaj’s father was a great admirer of Ghalib and this love has percolated down into her words, inspiring her craftsmanship. Here, according to Manjul, was a warrior like any of us, who challenged the diktats of life and society.
During the session she also narrated few of her poems, mesmerising the captivated audience.
